PS2 Region Free Modchip

Region locking used to mean keeping two consoles around just for imports, so this modchip fixed that headache in one sitting. Booted up a Japanese RPG on my US console with zero issues, and it's been running clean for weeks.

Installed this chip for a buddy who imports console games, and the region bypass works exactly as described on the install sheet. Took about an hour with a steady hand, but the solder points were clearly labeled. No more swapping consoles just to play one title.

Finally got my Japanese PS2 playing US discs without a hitch. The region unlocking is seamless once it’s wired in, and I’ve had zero boot issues across a dozen titles so far. Took a bit of patience with the soldering, but totally worth it for the library access.
