GDEMU 5.15b Optical Drive Emulator

Swapping the dead GD-ROM for this took maybe twenty minutes, and now every game boots straight off an SD card with no disc noise at all. Load times feel shorter too, which I wasn't expecting.

I was nervous about prying my Dreamcast apart, but the install was straightforward and it booted up on the first try. Loading games from the SD card is so much faster and quieter than the old disc drive ever was. It's breathed new life into a console I thought was done for.

My Dreamcast was collecting dust because of the dead GD-ROM, but this swap to an SD card drive made it feel brand new in about ten minutes of tinkering. Loading times are noticeably snappier than the old mechanical disc reader ever was, and I love that there are no moving parts to wear out this time
